So my idea for my major project is basically this.
How does the media portray Julius Caesar in fictasious novels, tv series, dramas and films, how do these differ from one another and how do these differ from historical evidence.
If the all clear is given by the almighty being known as Mr. Wright I believe the texts/sources I will use will be
- Colleen McCulloughs books on Julius Caesar (historical novels)
- Julius Caesar by Shakespeare (drama)
I am yet to decide on other texts but I believe I will be using a tv series and a film or two different tv series
T, that sounds like a lot of fun! I'd love to see the difference between the historical Caesar and the Caesar presented to society through the media. :) Can't wait to see how my understanding of Caesar is so incorrect- cause it is!
